The earth's bounty is an infinite variety of fascinating life forms: animals, insects and plants, all co-existing in a delicate balance of interdependency.
Unfortunately, through carelessness and greed, humans have radically disrupted nature's harmony; ruthless hunting, chemical poisoning, and habitat destruction have forced many plant and animal species into extinction and are threatening the survival of countless others.

Hear our humble prayer, O God,
for our friends the animals,
Especially for animals who are suffering;
